Winter is coming!  A rant by: FreedomFries Is there nothing better to talk about in Winnipeg than the weather??? First of all, yes it was nice to be able to walk around without a jacket the past few days, but seriously, Winter is coming!! Whether you like it or not, it is going to get colder. So why do I hear everyday "Wow, wouldn't it be great if it stayed warm like this all winter?"......What???....We live in Winnipeg! It is not going to stay warm, it is going to go down to negative ten gazillion degrees, and we're going to freeze, just like every winter. C'mon, we can't be that stupid, most of us have been here our whole lives, it hasn't ever stayed warm the whole winter, so why is this year going to be the exception? All you ever hear is people complaining about the heat in the summer and cold in the winter, rain in the spring, etc. etc. I enjoy riding my bike in summer and snowmobile in the winter and I figure that if people found better things to do with thier time, they wouldn't have any to complain about the weather!!!! I'd say 99% of Winnipeggers lead very boring, pointless, dull lives... those are the kinds of people that discuss the weather... I'm not in that 1% of the pop. that lead adventurous, exciting lives with a purpose but I sure would like to be someday!
