This Fall  A rant by: LIlChooChoo For once I will be positive about Winnipeg .... this fall has been beautiful.Surely no one can complain about it.We have stolen one month at least from winter.Let's all be greatful and enjoy every minute of it.So let's get our butts out there and do something ... anything.To think of it we actually had a summer too.Supposedly we're going to have a fairly mild winter too.Too bad it rained so much in the spring and in June though causing our farmers to have another dissastrous growing season ..... two bad years in a row, let's hope next year will be better. I myself did not grow up in Wpg, but however worked IN Wpg, and now live IN Wpg. I spent from 1998-2003 in Calgary, not b/c I wanted to get away from Wpg, but rather b/c I had friends in Calgary who said it was an awesome city to live in. I thought it would be a fun experience, and it was. Lemme tell ya... I sure did miss Wpg!!!! Sure Wpg has it's bad points, so does EVERY city. Having said that? Wpg is a GREAT city to live in. I'll never understand why people insist on putting down the city they live in. Don't like it? Get out! Can't leave? Not my problem! enjoy it while it lasts, you've only got one weekend of it left. personally however, I think the city of winnipeg should invest in some sort of weather control mechanism, surely someone out there has some sort of idea. I'm not saying to control weather so that every day is like being in bermuda or something.. most people would be happy if we could keep winter down to what we've had over the last few weeks. maybe some snow before christmas. then back to this.
