Washboard roads  A rant by: BigB I was driving to church this morning and I couldn't believe the condition of the road. North perimeter service road (Devries). Some of you will know this road as the place to run your dogs, dump your garbage, or the two churchs between Raleigh and Henderson. I personally use it for all three. But the way I figure, We pay lots of taxes, Between the two churches there is probably over 1500 people that make the drive each week. Why is it that the road is paved from Henderson to the Legion (where a bunch of old drunk men sit around all day) and then there are 1500 tax paying, kind and caring citizens that have to get their cars dirty and damaged. Not only do they pay taxes for roads. But they also are paying taxes by supporting the churches. These church's pay property taxes too. Even with the tax break they are still paying several thousand dollars (fact). Not to mention, both these church's donated 1/4 acre of their land to the municipality to have rothesay extended to Devries. And now everyone on Bonner is protesting that too. I suggest they put asphalt from Raleigh to Henderson. What's the point of paying taxes if don't beneifit from it!??! The was proposed an IGA in that section, but that was voted against. All those homo's on Foxgrove don't want the traffic. It's like those dinks on Bonner. I know what road you're talking about. Sometimes on a Sunday day I'll be driving down the perimeter and see a huge cloud of dust from all the cars on that gravel road. Just wait till they open up a walmart on the vacant land next to your church, Walmart would probably even pay to pave the road if they were allowed to build there. But what's worse, a bad road?, or having to deal with Walmart customers every Sunday. Ahhhhh Walmart customers, a whole different breed in itself.
