It seems that the city is telling us what to do, most of which is just common sense, that's if anyone has any left!
They are telling us that it's very dangerous to talk on the cell phone while driving ( which I agree with )
I sometimes find I have the decision of being rear ended, risk taking out the cars suspension or a head on collision! All because of pot holes!
Years ago I was in the curb lane of a two lane very busy road, it had been raining and with our wonderful drainage systems there was a lot of lying water. So........I was driving, keeping up with the traffic hit a pot hole that I couldn't see as it was under water and had a hub cap fly off as my tire punctured.
If this swerving isn't as dangerous as talking on a cell phone, I don't know what is. We shouldn't have to be constantly worrying about our cars disappearing down a huge pot hole.
St. James Street is an nightmare,its also an embarrassment when I have to pick up visitor's from the Airport and have to constantly apologize for the rally ride back.They seem to repair roads then are back digging it up in no time .A huge patch work quilt effect.
They do how ever seem to have time and money to spray paint really tacky white Maple Leafs on red gravel with weeds growing up through the gravel on some boulevards, go figure.
God only knows what visitors must thing when they come to Winnipeg...........it used to be the cleanest and well kept city I knew of , now its turning into a run down hick town.
