I have an issue with being called a grinch for all the wrong reasons. Why does it seem that every couple months a holiday comes around and right aways people get all pumped to celebrate it for all the wrong reasons.

I do not beleive in these holidays. Christmas for example is about lights on houses, trees inside your house and spending a pile of money on presents. What does that have to do w/ the real reason? Now I am considered a jerk for not putting up lights or having a tree. What effect does it have on me? It just makes more work for myself every year.

And halloween. Why is it that if you dont give some stranger candy (which you have to go out and buy for them) they will egg your house or the neighbours will talk poorly about you.

I can keep going. There are more holidays that i could be celebrating for all the wrong reasons, but I dont want to get into it. Ba-humbug!
