tattoos ![]() A rant by: Anonymous recently i've noticed that more and more people in Winnipeg are having themselves tattooed. my question is, how do i give the person credit for enduring the pain and exposing the work of art without offending him? the tattoo has obviously been applied for my benefit so i would like to acknowledge it, even if i don't particularly like it, it does brighten up a mundane landscape. perhaps someone has a generic, politically correct response that would cover all tattoos and body piercings. thank-you << Back Add a Comment Comments ( Add a Comment ) Anonymous says: 2005-12-12 14:27:37 50 years from now there will be a whole lot of 70-90 yr. old grandmothers with lower back tattoos. That's hilarious. Tattoos are pointless and stupid. You wanna express yourself? Write a freakin' poem. JT says: 2005-12-13 01:27:21 Ya, as far as those lower back tattoos: Is anything less original than that right now...Even girls without VD have them now. It's ridiculous. It might have been cool 5-10 years ago when strippers and whores only had em but it's just a big turnoff for me already. tmbrwlf says: 2005-12-19 13:05:22 hey jt get a life there were more than just strippers etc who had tattoo's ten years ago, trust me I've taken pictures of tatt's for over fifteen yrs hook says: 2005-12-19 15:10:27 I think tattoos look good, but i never thought about what JT said. I couldn't imagine a bunch of grandmas with lower back tatooos, that's going to be hillarious.!! hook says: 2005-12-19 15:11:24 And lets not forget the select few who will be 80 years old with not only their skin sagging, but also their earlobes hanging down to the floor. That's one this i don't get, stretched earlobes. JT says: 2005-12-19 23:29:03 Way to take pictures chump...I said lower back tattoos, not all tattoos BigB says: 2005-12-20 23:48:27 Regardless, I think the back tats are hot. And who cares what they look like when they are 80. It's when they are young that it matters. Anonymous says: 2005-12-23 07:47:52 They're a conversation peace And if they travel from outside the bikini line , to within. Well guys, that just makes it easier to get a pieeeece of the action. Its not only ho's that wear them. Lots off sweet stuff out there, But what they'll look like when 80. Who cares. The bandit has spoken. Anonymous says: 2006-01-03 11:11:35 ^^So bandit, ur saying that tatoos make the girl easy? BigB says: 2006-01-03 13:08:33 I'm w/ Bandit. As a rule, girls w/ tats are easy. tmbrwlf says: 2006-01-03 20:33:35 some people "as a rule girls with tats are easy" get a life you idiot thats like saying all bikers are Hells Angels grow up Anonymous says: 2006-01-10 01:33:41 Bikers who dress up like Hells Angels wannabes will act like greaseballs given the chance, and girls who decorate themselves like strippers and hookers, well... you connect the dots KSPOT says: 2006-01-10 11:36:12 Just to address the first comment. I don\'t think you should feel the need to comment on a person\'s tattoo just b/c they have one. Yes many tattoos are for conversation pieces and attention getters, however if a tattoo is not comment worthy don\'t bother. If it\'s a nice tattoo or an original one then go ahead and compliment the person. If it\'s hideous, make a comment like \"where\'d you get that done?\".....\"ok I\'ll be sure not to go there\". As for everyone else ranting about the lower back tattoos, just b/c a girl has a tattoo on her lower back does not make her easy. I think it\'s just a fad, the \"in\" place to get a tattoo. I do agree it\'s waaaaayyy too common now, and getting tattoos aren\'t as symbolic as they once were. As for the 80 year old women of the future, how many old ladies\' lower backs do you plan on seeing when you\'re 80-90??? tmbrwlf says: 2006-01-10 12:12:22 for the loser who want to remain nameless define looking like a Hells Angel do I look like one because I wear a leather jacket and chaps when riding or because I have both my arms and back covered in tattoos. Oner should be carefull when making comments on how a person looks. When out riding I can have that look that does not make me or others greaseball who act up, we could be your lawyer or evem MLA. As for the comment about women with lower back tattoos hope you dont end up in an emergency ward as both my wife and now daughter have both lower and other tattoos and are nurses nekochan says: 2006-01-31 17:34:17 Does anyone else think that it's horrible that the people out there are such sheep that they have to not only follow a the trend of tattooing, but follow the trend of where to get it. And, even though I'm a chick, I have to agree with the whore comment. Sure, not all women who have tats on their lower back are whores, but I know quite a few of them, and 95% of them are much too easy. To quote wedding crashers, it might as well be a bullseye. tmbrwlf says: 2006-01-31 20:22:02 Hey nekochan I wont stoop to BigB's level but if 95% of your friends who have tats are easy it is time to get new friends. In my own group of friends things are much different but then we are all buisness ppl who happen to be bikers Anonymous says: 2006-02-01 10:50:52 I have a tattoo on my lower back that I got to remind me of a time in my life when I really began to take my faith/beliefs seriously, so it actually has a lot of meaning for me. The reason it's on my lower back is because I don't want it showing in the places that I work, and the lower back is the only place that it shows when it's appropriate and is hidden when it's not. It's not always about fads, and believe me, it definitely has nothing to do with how 'easy' someone is. BigB says: 2006-02-01 11:31:36 Good for you on taking your life seriously. But how does a tattoo that is on you back remind you of anything? The only time you are reminded of it is when a guy is staring at it while hes trying to guess what kind of underwear you have on. The idea behind putting a tattoo on the lower back is a sexual gesture. You can deny it until you are blue, I am a guy and i know the way guys think. It's a very sexy place on a womans body. Thats like saying you don't wear a low-cut shirt to show off cleavage or a high skirt to show your legs. Any shirt that shows a back tattoo is showing skin that has been proven to perk a mans interest! To the wolfs comments on bikers...I ride a bike myself. I don't put on all the leathers and wear my Harley bandanna with shades when i ride. If you and all your business-minded (drug dealing) friends think you look cool strapping on leathers and hanging chains from you wallets good for you. But you don't look tough, you look like pot-bellied wannabes that are trying to look intimidating because their dads beat them when they were kids and they had no friends when they were in school. I am really shaken. I happen to know that real bikers use you Sunday wannabes as targets. So I hope you and your petty drug slinging buddies ride in a pack sporting heat, because one day the Red Machine will pull up beside you and the intimidating soccer moms wont help with them. Good luck. BTW, your daughter sounds hot. Maybe I've known her before:) JT says: 2006-02-02 17:22:44 Thanks nekochan. It's nice to hear a reasonable female perspective. For the ladies with the back tats, of course you can make up a reason or meaning for your tattoo but the truth is that you want dudes to look at it and think it's sexy. Why lie about it? I don't think theres anything wrong with it, I just think it's tired and like nekochan suggested it makes you look like "sheep". nekochan says: 2006-02-02 18:03:39 If you don't want your tattoo to be seen, why not get it on your shoulder, where a business casual shirt would nicely cover it? Or near your breast, no one but a lover would be able to see that. There's other parts of your body that can easily be hidden all year round instead of the lower back. Even the shoulder blade. But if it's there to remind you of something, and it's on your back, how often can you possibly see it? BalthazaarRamrod says: 2006-02-03 12:08:03 Lower back tatoo's say "I love doggy style." That is all. tmbrwlf says: 2006-02-06 15:50:27 Hey BigB if you don't wear leathers while riding the you must only ride a scooter. As for my friends being drug dealers the I guess you have a very low open of the Ride for Sight and the Manitoba Motorcycle club. My buisness friends range from lawyers to cops to the guys who work for me in my trucking company. Now on topic If someone gets a tat it usually has a meaning for them and where they put it is up to them not a bunch of idiots who don't understand anything about tattoos verona84 says: 2010-04-06 11:30:05 If you want to say something nice about someone's ink just tell them thats nice. point made. conversation started. About the whole lower back tattoo business aka tramp stamp... I have one. And for me I got it placed there because A)It can be hidden easily B)the gentlemen that tattooed me said it is one of the lease painful places to get tattooed. (I got it at 18 as my first tattoo) Pretty much everyone has a tattoo now a days. And yeah I know it may not be beautiful when i'm 90 but oh well its a part of my life history!!!! so yeah thats my 2 cents... |

I dunno, just say nice artwork or something. In a non-homosexual manner.
