Right of way  A rant by: withoutprejudice Hello People. This post is to advise those of you who read this forum that the right-of-way when driving in residencial steets with parked cars is no longer in effect in Winnipeg. By Right-of-way, I mean to stay behind a parked car when crossing opposite direction traffic if you are driving on the side with the parked cars. The fact is that %90 of all the residential streets in Winnipeg are wide enough for 2 large-size cars passing each other even when there is a car parked beside. Obviously in the Winter, courtesy prevails and the cars driving on the parked-car side should give way since the snow takes away some of the width of the streets. Please mention this to all your fellow drivers. I call B.S. on the 90% of roads can take 2 lanes of cars, plus a parked car. Unless by handle you mean that everyone is moving so slowly rather than risk clipping a mirror or whatever. Don't worry motorists, keep on what you're doing. Nothing I hate more than a bonehead coming in my direction giving me no room to pass. Especially if said bonehead is driving a larger truck or SUV.
