Freedom In Jeopardy!!!! Fight now Canada

A rant by: sugarsweetdd

So I feel that I need to voice my opinion here. The so called great government of ours is trying so hard to pass a new Bill 60....The Lawful Access Bill. Do people not realize that Freedom and Liberty in Canada is becoming obsolete? With this so called Bill 60, it gives the government and police access to watching over your every move. No Canadian is safe. If you believe you are....your turning a blind eye to this situation. I believe as a Canadian I have a right to Freedom that my so called Great Grandfather fought so hard for. I don't need anyone telling me who I am to associate myself with. This is not freedom.

Here is some interesting stuff I got from my favorite paper. This message comes directly from www.realdealnews.com

"First they want to blame all Hells Angels for what one Hells Angel does. Then they come up with the associates label so they can blame all Hells Angels for what someone who isn’t even a Hells Angel does. If I ride my bike up beside someone I don't know, and happen to be stopped by the police, they want the right to blame another member in another province, thousand of miles away, with what ever this stranger has done. He goes in the book as an associate, now were all responsible for him too? Is that Justice???? If that’s were the country is headed, then everybody better start tearing names out of their phone books now. It’s not what you have done, it’s who you know.

Come on Canada lets stop this Bill before it goes any further.

You thought you were free before writing this article? We can not stop paying taxes if we want to. Once we vote in a majority government, they can run rampant doing as it pleases, with out really representing what is best for canadians or to their wishes. I think that there even needs to be more censorship, people like rappers have too much freedom. I mean I know I can get there message good or bad, but most kids I see only look for the image and try to emulate the life style. Some girls I work with did not even know what alot of these songs meant, or what the lirics meant. I showed them the printed version of their song which says women need to service there man, or slap there ass or what ever. also to kill people that get in your way. just stupid and un-nessisary. Also Cops don't just pull over any biker and say 'op that's it your a hells angel.'

You have some good points. I have a hard time respecting rappers that are being emulated by young kids when all they represent is blunts, material possessions like Bentley’s & Lambo’s, mansions and woman. Rappers like 50 cent that are former cocaine dealers. Who used to use 12 year old girls to hold their drugs at street corners so he couldn’t get arrested. How can we allow these people to be role models? There was a lot of hype about Eminem a few years back when he first came out. Sure he isn’t actually telling these kids to do these things. But kids don’t realize he’s all jokes. They think that there is truth to the lyrics he throws out. I’m not going to bash just the rapper’s, pop singers are the same way. I was amazed when I heard some of Britney Spears’ new album. The perversion that was being put out was amazing. And she is no different then every other artist. Jessica Simpson has turned into a little whore/ Christina Agulara had that video a couple years ago where she ran around in her panties talking about “getting dirty” and from then on it seems the bar was set for these soft-core porn videos. What will/do us parents do when they start getting to that influential age? Do we hope our guidance and morals/values that we have tried to instil in them will prevail? The radio may censor bad words but the kids have friends at school that have copies of the bad words and they are sure to fill our kids in on what they are.

regarding censorship... give your kids some values and don't let them be latchkey children. It'll work out.
