A rant by: storygirl

on the way to my mother's 80th birthday with my two daughters in the car, I get stopped for a random check of day time lights (which happened to be new) told they were not working. Feeling intimated and never stopped by police before, told us to go to a parking lot, and there were at least a dozen police officers and two other cars. Where we see police eating and doing nothing, and a small little man checking the cars. We were intimidated and told to give my license and registration. Not understanding what they were doing but watched other drivers having cars being checked, we wondered why us? We didn't do anything. Our car is checked and told we have a little rust under our TEN year old car, which is well maintained by Canadian Tire, and we had no washer fluid. They give us a summons and told us to fix the rust or we will be in court. Totally intimidated, and sadly late for dinner with my mother. This is our finest police force with nothing to do but scare three women in a car????? This is what our tax dollars are going to, instead of catching criminals who steal cars, they pull over a hard working single mom. This sickens me, when I asked how do I get this fixed (the washer fluid and rust)when I have to go to work, they said it was my problem. If I don't go to a repair shop and have it reinspected then I have to pay $171. Sam Katz must have nothing for the police to do
