I really don't think will is going to fire you for this. But we have had this rant before. When you say you will get punished if we take to long what do you mean? You getting paid min wage what can they really do to you? Not give you a free doughnut at the end of the day?

My advice to you is to get a job that doesn't involve dealing with the public. I've never had a job like yours because I'd hate to deal with you have to deal with every day. I can't stand the people of Winnipeg; for the most part they're unbelievably rude.

If you can't stand the people of winnipeg you can't stand the people of anywhere.

I agree with BigB. In fact, it's been my expereince that Winnipeggers are much friendlier than the rest of the country. Torontotarians (I know that's not the proper name, there's a joke in there) and Calgarians are much ruder.

Winnipegers arent so much rude as they are ghetto... If you deal with the public on a day to day basis then you will find that 1/3 of the city is lacking basic socail skills not to mention the simplist of manners. My advice for you honey is to stay in school, dont do drugs and go work somewhere classy like walmart!

I'm so tempted to go order 8 sandwiches now during their busiest times and take forever getting change from my pocket.

Although we are way off topic here, I'm ok w/ it bcs the original one sucked. I travel a fair amount w/ work and I hate going to BC. Vancouver especially. It's a beautiful location but the people are not friendly at all and it makes for very boring evenings. Unless you are there w/ other ppl it will seem very lonely bcs everyone you try to talk to will give you the cold shoulder. Edmonton/Calgary are a lot like winnipeg. People are friendly and more laid back. I think CreamSoda is a little off base. Winnipeg isn't ghetto. It's more a simplistic surrounding. We have lots of great things for a city as small as we are. But conversation w/ the general public is lacking and the non-educated members are the grand majority.

I think your boss or whoever makes up this rule should be ashamed of him or herself and I sure hope that they work drive through now and then so that they realize that you can't control the people going through it like puppets. People are people, they are slow, stupid, clumsy and forgetful. Employers need to make alloweances for this and not blame the employee who is just doing the job to the best of their ability. If it takes longer than 30 seconds it's NOT the employees fault. I'v only had great service at Tim Hortons.

What I don't like at Tim Hortens, is when the weather gets colder, like now, and you order a couple of coffees at the drive thru, and the car in front of you orders 6 sandwiches, and you can see your coffees sitting close to the open window getting cold. I didn't know that you couldn't keep the change. No point in leaving it then.

I hate Tim Hortons. I love Robins and it's too bad Robins' locations are closing up everywhere or are restricting their hours. Robins ALWAYS has doughnuts during the overnight hours after the bars close. Tim Hortons very seldom does, and they make up excuses about how the baker does this, etc. Hey, if Robins can do it, so can Tim Hortons! Can you imagine? NOT ONE SINGLE DOUGHNUT to buy at 3:00 a.m.! It's a doughnut shop, not a coffee shop! PROVIDE SOME DOUGHNUTS! Limited quantities, limited selection, that I can see. But whoever heard of ZERO doughnuts for sale? Tim Hortons, clean up your act!

i love timmys... but almost everytime ive been there the service has been not so hot. one of my friends ordered a sandwich one day. she was in the fron of the line. we were about a group of 6 people. i was in the end. i ordered and got my drink befor she got her sandwich. then another roughly 5 people cam and got their stuff befor she got her sandwich. i love the food in all i love the drinks... but this is not the first time things have taken way to long!
Anonymous says: 2006-02-19 22:48:11
Well, of course you got your drink before she got her sandwich. It takes a lot less time to make a drink. Did you expect them to hold your drink simply because a person in front of you hadn\\\'t recieved their sandwich? If that\\\'s the best example of \\\'bad service\\\' that you can come up with, you\\\'re riding smooth down easy street.

no but like it toke maby 7 min for her to finaly get her sandwich. the other time i went there for a sandwich it toke about 10 min to get a sandwich. yeah i know they have work to do. but they are just putting it off more and more. the one i got a sandwich there. i actualy went and sat down with my friends after waiting for 4 min. then a few min later i got up to see where they were at... i saw the person just starting... like i said befor i love the food

But isn't this the convenience of a drive thru?
Anonymous says: 2006-04-11 15:51:42
Tim's doesnt make their own donuts from scratch like Robin's are. They are made frozen somewhere then shipped to the various locations in Canada. Then baked, not fried like some of Robin's craptacular donuts. When I have gone there at 3 am I have always received my donuts. Perhaps it's the location you are going to? Personally I like Tim's even if I have to wait a bit longer in the drive thru's. Manitoba Tim Horton's needs to step up to the plate and introduce Interac like the franchises have done in BC and AB.

I don't drink coffe but i have been there for a hot chocolate.I find it sad that when i order a x-large one it comes to me with about two inches from the top. What, didn't i pay for a x-large?so why not stand there for another 5 seconds and continue to push that button, better yet tell your boss to stop skimming from the top and give us our fare share.I wonder how much money they make off these top offs.?And another thing, can't they clean there parking lots more often then they don't?There trash cups are everywhere in this already dirty city.By the way, when i drank coffee it was at Country Style donuts but i see that too has gone way of the good hamburger joints in this city.
